['kø-], Paul, Mathematiker, * Luckenwalde 15. 2. 1882, ✝ Leipzig 6. 8. 1945; Professor in Jena und Leipzig, löste 1907 unabhängig von H. Poincaré das Uniformisierungsproblem für beliebige algebraische Funktionen. Andere Arbeiten galten den konformen Abbildungen, den schlichten Funktionen (»Entzerrungssatz von Koebe«) und den mehrfach zusammenhängenden Gebieten.
